Rowsport Asia Ltd., the official C2 Authorised Reseller for Hong Kong, China, provided sponsorship and technical support for the recent 27^th Hong Kong Rowing Indoor Championships and Charity Rowathon. Held annually since its 1^st edition in 2000, the Championships regularly welcome regional competitors from around Asia and are a key promotion opportunity for Rowsport and C2.

Normally held in an Indoor Games Hall, this year’s event was held in a major shopping centre for the first time, providing additional exposure to spectators and the general public.

The championships included 500m, 1,000m and 2,000m in a wide range of age groups, para, inclusive and 4x500m relay events. In addition a traditional 30 minute charity rowathon with each team comprising 10 rowers attracted a lot of excitement and raised funds for a local charity.

Held over 2 days, total participation reached over 1100 participants and the event was supported by 75 officials and volunteers to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Hong Kong was an early promoter of indoor rowing events using C2 machines and RowSport Asia Ltd has been a strong supporter from the start.

Other major annual indoor rowing events in Hong Kong include Universities Championships and the Hong Kong School Sports Federation’s School Championships.  Rowsport provides technical and other support for these,  as well as for a range of smaller events.
